Full course description


Overview: BPCC's OnDemand Healthcare IT Technician boot camp is a face-to-face course that is designed to help participants pass CompTIA’s Healthcare IT Technician exam. The Healthcare IT Technician certification ensures IT professionals have the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in installing, managing and troubleshooting IT systems in medical and clinical settings.

Class Limit: The first 25 students who register will be enrolled in the non-credit boot camp at no cost to the student. 

Waitlist: All others who register after the class has filled will be added to a wait list and will be notified if a spot becomes available.

No Cost and Vouchers: Registration is free for BPCC CIT and CIS students.  A voucher for CompTIA's Healthcare IT Technician will be provided at no cost to the student.  A book will NOT be provided but materials to study for the exam will be on the course LMS system.

Attendance Requirement: In order to register you must be able to attend all days of the boot camp from Dec 12-16 (8:00 am - 4:00 pm) in person on BPCC's campus (room TBD). 

Exam Scheduling Requirement: After registering for the boot camp, all students must meet with Mr. Paul Spivey (pspivey@bpcc.edu; office G123) in order to schedule the exam prior to the first day of the boot camp.  Failure to do so will result in being removed from the boot camp.  All students who register for the boot camp will be required to take the exam on Friday, December 16th either at BPCC's testing facility or at another testing facility.

Consent: By registering for the boot camp you are consenting to share the results of your exam score with BPCC for grant metrics and with JP Morgan Chase for grant success stories.
